About

There is a lot of skilled work most outsiders barely see.

These dossiers make that work legible: what happens day to day, how people enter, what beginners do, what training actually provides, and what still needs local verification.

The project is deliberately broader than “the trades.” Industrial maintenance, electrical work, precision engine building, biomedical equipment, investigation, machining and other skilled occupations can have very different cultures and entry systems. The common thread is that the real transition is usually more complicated than a job-title page suggests.
